This year’s vegetable garden

My checklist for this year’s vegetable garden:

  • Soil tilled?  Check!
  • Top soil added?  Check!
  • Plants bought?  Check!
  • Seeds for plants not available for purchase?  Check!
  • Plants planted?  Check!

Now the watering … and waiting begins!
//

Oh, you’re wondering what I planted?

  • Lettuce
  • room for cabbage
  • Strawberries
  • Cucumbers
  • Onions
  • room for bell peppers
  • room for radishes
  • Tomatoes (Early Girl, I think they’re called)

    1. Too late. We had a freeze TUESDAY night as well, so I lost my tomato plants already, and probably my cucumbers. 😦

  1. So sorry Bill,

I have everything planted too and will get extra tomato plants from my friends that own a nursery after the 15th. We got lots of rain so I don't have to water anything yet.j

    1. I replaced those original tomato plants, adding cherry tomatoes, and might have lost those too because even though I hadn't planted them yet I screwed up and left them outside one night when it got below freezing. So, those along with a NEW batch of tomato plants are now side by side in the dirt. I'm hopeful that two out the three freeze-damaged plants will recover.
